But will he manage to retain the famous stadium’s affection, with not just a tenth European champions title but a stylish brand of football demanded by the club and the public? It’s also safe to anticipate that Barcelona will come back strongly in an attempt to regain their Champions League crown – Andy assesses how their semi-final defeat to Inter may push them on to even greater heights.

Finally, Andy has a look at an exciting Champions League play-off round to kick off next season’s competition. Premier League Tottenham Hotspur could face Sampdoria, Braga or even shock qualifiers Auxerre as they seek to reach the group stages for the first time.

Soccerlens TV: Attack-minded sides, Champions League spots and relegation & promotion battles in Europe

In Episode 28, Andy discusses the clubs who have been attacking their opponents throughout the season have reap their rewards and they are sitting pretty at the top of their respective leagues. Steve McClaren left FC Twente for Wolfsburg after Twente became the Dutch champions.

In the Champions League qualifiers there are a number of interesting names and it will be quite interesting to see which teams will eventually make it to the Champions League next season. Clubs like Tottenham, Sampdoria and Braga are already there in the qualifiers whereas Mallorca has done really well in order to keep up with the top four in Spain. They are just a point behind fourth place Sevilla and it’s all down to the last game that means Champions League or Europa League for both.

Soccerlens TV: City v Spurs, Champions in Holland and Germany plus Champions League race in France

The Episode 27 of the show covers the Eredivisie champions FC Twente and their coach, Steve McClaren – who went from a zero to hero after getting Twente a Champions League spot in his first season and helped them become the national champions for the first time since 1926.

Over in Germany, Bayern Munich are becoming the champions with their domestic cup final and the Champions League final coming up. It is their chance of scoring a treble. Speaking of Champions League, Andy moves on to England and France where the race for a Champions League is on like anything.

In England, Tottenham and Manchester City are fighting for the Champions League qualifiers and only a point separates them. Whereas in France, Lyon are two points behind Lille, who are sitting on the Champions League qualifiers spot at the moment.

Soccerlens TV: Wenger & Benitez speaking out, OM in French title race and Sporting improving in Portugal

In Episode 18, Andy talks about the speaking out of Arsene Wenger on the controversial tackle of the Stoke City defender Ryan Shawcross on the 19 year old Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey and how Rafael Benitez sarcastically taunted Blackburn by saying that Barcelona will adopt their style of play in the future after Blackburn put up a good show against Liverpool.

Andy moves over to France to take a look on the proceedings in Ligue 1, where the top five on the table are separated by just four points. Bordeaux’s match against Le Mans was postponed due to severe weather conditions and the rest took advantage of it. Montpellier, Lyon and Marseille won their games whereas Lille was already up there. Bordeaux now has two games in hand, Marseille has one and sixth place Auxere has one game in hand and if they win theirs, they will land one point above fifth place Lille.

Andy, then, wraps up the talk with Sporting’s improvement in Protugal Liga.

Soccerlens TV: Premier League play-off idea, Porto vs Braga & Europa League

In Episode 17, Andy Brassell discusses the idea of making the clubs go through play-offs for the fourth position on the table between the clubs on 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th position; namely, Tottenham, Manchester City, Liverpool and Aston Villa.

Then Andy talks about FC Porto’s thrashing of Braga 5-1 at home, making a solid statement which was seen as their last chance at the title. Porto completely outclassed Braga who are still five points clear of Porto and sitting on the second spot with Benfica leading the table by just one point.

Andy wraps up the talk with talking about the Europa League and the clubs looking good in it.
